The Frankopan lineage remain some of the most fascinating figures of Habsburg era Croatia. They were politicians, conspirators, aristocrats and true Croatian patriots, with their impact on Croatian politics and culture still having a strong stamp on the country and its people to this day. In honour of this, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar county had started Tracing the Frankopan Lineage, an interconnected tourist route meant to preserve and celebrate the family's historical and cultural impact in an everchanging world.
